Wait, is this actually a wedding?
Yes! Despite the academic framing, the WHS 2026 is, in fact, a wedding.
What should I wear to this "conference"?
Cocktail or semi-formal. We encourage you to dress up, but comfortable shoes are recommended for the open collaboration session (dancing).
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to limited venue capacity, we can only accommodate guests named on your invitation.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children are welcome! We'll have onsite childcare available at the Samberg Conference Center. If you'd like to use this service, please let us know in your RSVP.
Is the symposium archival?
Yes. Professional photography and videography will be conducted throughout the day.
What about parking and transportation?
Free parking is available at the venue. Please see our Plan Your Visit page for more details on public transit options and directions.
Do I need to RSVP for both the ceremony and reception?
One RSVP covers the entire day — ceremony, poster session, and reception. Please indicate any dietary restrictions when you respond.
Can I submit a poster if I didn't indicate it in my RSVP?
Absolutely! While advance notice is appreciated for planning purposes, late-breaking submissions are welcome. Just bring your poster and set it up before the ceremony.
Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?
Yes! Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies in your RSVP, and we'll ensure appropriate options are available for you.
What time should I arrive?
Guest arrival begins at 2:30 PM, with the ceremony starting promptly at 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving by 2:45 PM to find your seat and get settled.
